Long time staples of the KVANT brand and industry standard, the Spectrum series has recently been attained by Brown Note Productions, Inc. The Spectrum 25’s are the “most current version of our [KVANT] proven and improved design that incorporates our cutting edge technology.” These machines were made to impress audiences with complex laser graphics on the road, specifically for outdoor settings. These OPSL Coherent Taipan and KVANT’s mastered semiconductor diode laser modules take full advantage of it’s beam properties. These high powered laser systems are able to deliver almost any color at a high performance, even during the daytime. Weighing in at just under 80 lbs (36kg), The dimensions of the machine itself are as follows; 391x465x260 (LxWxH in mm). These lasers boast a 6×5.5mm beam size and a <1mrad beam divergence. The machines themselves are actually IP rated to IP65, which entails that it is waterproof, but is susceptible to extreme temperatures and excessive amounts of dust. Putting on shows in unfavorable conditions makes these machines a top choice for most operators. The next key to these systems’ full potential is the optimization of Pangolin Laser control software.
The system’s ILDA compatibility allows for the utilization of the Pangolin system, which unlocks a whole other world for the user. The optional upgrade to the Pangolin Beyond allows you to combine laser, video, audio, DMX lighting and more into a consolidated timeline. The combined forces of the machine and program give a seemingly unlimited amount of control and options to the operator.
