Primary Objective:With the support and guidance of the management team, this role focuses on delivering efficient, high-quality technical drawings that support the success of our diverse events, concerts, and tours. Success in this role is driven by applying technical expertise, streamlining internal processes, and proactively using one’s strengths to develop effective, creative solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Generate accurate technical drawings that outline design intent and required build materials to meet client expectations.
  • Collaborate with project management and account representatives to ensure design accuracy, feasibility, and overall client satisfaction.
  • Produce cohesive visual documentation that aligns with company aesthetics and standards, incorporating all relevant departments for a unified presentation.
  • Interpret complex technical drawings and schematics to inform design decisions and ensure clarity across teams.
  • Calculate rigging loads and generate associated reports for project advancement and on-site implementation.
  • Maintain an organized asset library of venues, mobile stages, and touring rigs, while keeping the company start file current with new acquisitions.
  • Adapt to real-time changes and meet deadlines, updating deliverables promptly as new information becomes available.
  • Identify and resolve design challenges with creative and technically sound solutions.
  • Conduct research to support design decisions, considering technical constraints and potential opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

General:

  • This position may be required to work after hours or weekend shifts as needed.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Completion of Drafting Training program/s
  • Must have extensive Vectorworks Spotlight and Braceworks skills in addition to working knowledge of Cast WYSIWYG
  • Working knowledge of lighting control softwares (grandMA, Avolites, Hog, CHAMSYS, etc.)
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Sketchup preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft, Google products
  • Must possess high attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • 5+ years in the touring, concert, event industry

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
