Primary Objectives: Installing commercial audio, video, & lighting systems with quality and safety as priority while maintaining a positive and professional attitude. Tasks will include but not be limited to pulling cable, terminating cable, mounting equipment, labeling, and moving equipment. Working at heights and lifting weights in excess of 50 pounds will be necessary.

  • Rack assembly and installation of cable management. Cable dressing.
  • Performs cable pulls, termination (including soldering), equipment mounting, and rigging.
  • Use of power tools including drills, hammer drills, various saws and other equipment.
  • Follows instructions well and follows company best practices and procedures.
  • Follows installation drawings to build AV systems according to company best practices and procedures.
  • Provides feedback for any changes made in the field.
  • Maintains a clean jobsite.
  • Must be able to problem solve and troubleshoot issues with support from the system designer and project manager.
  • Must utilize PPE according to construction site requirements and BNP guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Must have EIN and Workers Compensation insurance
  • Experience using hand tools of the A/V and electronics related trades
  • Experience installing audio-visual, control systems, low voltage, voice/data cabling, structured cabling, fiber optic or related systems strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with construction trades and job-site etiquette.
  • Basic understanding of AC power and DC power circuits.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting architectural drawings and AV schematic with familiarity of common symbols
  • Capable of lifting heavy equipment
  • Capable of working at heights, either ladders, scaffolding, or lifts
  • Experience in AV integration a plus
  • Experience in live production a plus
  • CTS or CTS-I a plus

Working Conditions

Working conditions for this job vary drastically – jobs may be indoor/outdoor, may or may not be climate controlled. This position may require you to work in dusty environments, in tight spaces, or on uneven ground. Most work is performed Monday thru Friday 8 – 5 with the potential for some evening and weekend work. Overnight travel is possible. Maintaining a positive attitude is crucial for this role.

Compensation Range: $20-24/hr

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Willingness to travel:

  • 25% (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
