Primary Objective:
Provide, communicate and produce clear and ongoing objectives, responsibilities and processes to your team that consistently produce the Brown Note Experience.
Primary Objectives of Supporting Internal Production/Technical Requirements:
Production Management
- Supports Account and Production Managers:
- Responding and finalizing sales opportunities involving Video, and other departments as needed.
- Developing engineering and design paperwork with experience in large festivals and events.
- Support video production and technical advances for all closed sales for Festivals, Tours, and one off events.
- Managing and Scheduling Video Show Staff. Actively participate in the hiring process.
- Developing Human Capital strategies to ensure the quality of all staff meets or exceeds Brown Note standards in shop and on events.
- Support communicating production details on Production Advance calls and meetings.
- Arrange logistics.
- Coordinate with Operations Management to complete cable, rigging, power plots and help set up final equipment lists for Preps.
- As necessary, provides onsite support and management of festivals and events as required. Anticipate some travel.
Technical Operations:
- Provides all technical requirements and drawings to Operations Managers.
- Build and Support creating technical training material and training activities.
- Track technical skill levels for all show staff.
- Ensure event preps are completed to specification through coordination with Operations Managers.
- Effectively draw, read and understand detailed designs, plots and truck packs.
- Work with a holistic approach to an event to help manage expectations of sales, technicians, assets and client experience.
- Use previous experience to become an established video technical Subject Matter Expert.
- Utilize knowledge and SME role to discuss technical advances, order changes and troubleshooting complex issues.
- Act as first line resource for Operations Department Manager, 1’s and Crew Chiefs to identify technical and build issues and recommendations.
- Main source for generating, reviewing and answering questions on event based paperwork.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Must know either Wysiwig & Vectorworks
- Some Travel
- 5-10 years in the touring, concert, event industry
- 5-10 years in managing multiple technical people
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft, Google products
- Knowledge of LED Walls and how they Configure
- Knowledge of Video Signal paths and resolution
- Knowledge of Video Engineering systems
Compensation Band: Manager
Compensation Range: $75,000-$95,000
FLSA Status: Exempt
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
